D.E. Sketch 2

Okay I got another commission work on some local russian freelancers site - Lady wanted a portrait of her boyfriend. She particularly liked my portrait of Saladin --> [link]
So I was glad to do it, since I like that style a lot She wanted the portrait to look somewhat dark and creepy and even evil, though the reference photos she provided me were really poor in terms of lightning quality. So I figured out after 4 sketches that I should do something with photos in photoshop in the first place. Well, i wasn't too clever to grasp it any sooner.

So this is the second sketch I done. Kraft paper 20x20 cm, graphite, pastel.

I was a little bit more precise with the proportions, but still not very good, and the overall feeling was not right.
